Aerotropolis Milwaukee Working with The Alliance for Regional Development

The Alliance for Regional Development in the 21 county region of northwest Indiana, metropolitan Chicago and six counties in southeastern Wisconsin has four teams working on issues common with the region.  The teams are Green Growth, Human Capital, Innovation, and Transportation and Logistics. Two of the 19 team members on the Transportation and Logistics working team are Scott Yauck and Tom Rave from Aerotropolis Milwaukee.  The two other participants from Wisconsin are Ken Yunker, the executive director of SEWRPC and an employee of WisDOT from Madison. Georgia and Atlanta Use Aerotropolis Concepts To Grow Their Economies

Two recent articles show how Georgia and Atlanta are using aerotropolis concepts for economic growth. At the Georgia Logistics Summit, the state’s governor and the commissioner of economic development talked about using highways, railroads, the largest airport in the U.S. and the nation’s fourth largest seaport working “positively together” to develop the state as a logistics hub.
