Aerotropolis Milwaukee Working with The Alliance for Regional Development

The Alliance for Regional Development in the 21 county region of northwest Indiana, metropolitan Chicago and six counties in southeastern Wisconsin has four teams working on issues common with the region. The teams are Green Growth, Human Capital, Innovation, and Transportation and Logistics.
Two of the 19 team members on the Transportation and Logistics working team are Scott Yauck and Tom Rave from Aerotropolis Milwaukee. The two other participants from Wisconsin are Ken Yunker, the executive director of SEWRPC and an employee of WisDOT from Madison.
The kickoff event for the working teams was held in late March in Chicago. The Transportation and Logistics team agreed that its first task is to inventory all of the transportation assets in the 21 county region. Purdue University in Calumet, IN will host the data accumulated by the team plus a communications channel among the team members. The next meeting is scheduled for June 3 where the types of data about each transportation asset will be defined.
