Mitchell Airport proposes incentives to attract air service

Dec 02, 2013

A new idea is being considered by General Mitchell International Airport that would attract new nonstop flights to and from Milwaukee.  A resolution was recently introduced to Milwaukee County Supervisors that would waive certain fees and offer marketing funds to airlines that agree to provide new nonstop service at Mitchell.  This proposal represents a shift in the tactics used by airport management as they take a more active role in addressing air service. In recent years, GMIA has experienced dramatic highs and lows in the number of flights which represents the changing airline landscape nationally.  To read more on this proposal, please visit the link below.
